Emergency Care Program - Community Development Program

We are often contacted by desperate and frantic parents needing and wanting our assistance with a sick child. All too often the cry for help comes just too late and sadly their child dies. We are working to further develop our education program, nutrition program (especially targeting the most malnourished children in the areas we work in) and prevention programs where ever possible so that we are not faced with the awful situation of having to bury young babies and console grief stricken parents.

  Jobert

We found young Jobert at Pier 4 … he was four years old and weighed only 8 kilograms! He was severely malnourished and was very close to death. We took him and his entire family into our Mission Rescue house and after a period of time of constant nutrition … administration of pedia sure (a formula specifically designed for malnutrition) love and care … Jobert has recovered fully. We also cared for his entire family … and later found out that his mother, Leah, was actually suffering from pneumonia, hepatitis B, active TB and malnutrition.
